Community Educators

Welcome Community Educators! On this page you’ll find all of the forms, resources and training videos you need to be, or become, a WVFK CE.

**NEW** Scroll down for a training video on how to become a Wild Voices for Kids CE!

Community Educators (CEs) are the heart and soul of the Wild Voices for Kids (WVFK) program.  Each CE brings their own unique background in environmental or heritage issues, adds their passion for education, and creates classroom- or field-based presentations that will both captivate students and satisfy the learning objectives of teachers.  And, they get paid to do it!  Sound interesting?  Read on…

Practically anyone with a background in environmental or heritage issues and a passion for sharing knowledge can become a CE.  Are you a forester or geographer?  A biologist or mountain guide?  A historian or First Nations storyteller?  Do you have some unique knowledge or skill you want to pass on to students?  If so, we’d like to talk to you.

WVFK provides training and assistance with program development, promotes presenters and their programs, and provides cash honoraria to CEs.  The best part is that CEs can work as often or as little as their schedules permit, making it very simple for underemployed TOCs, retired educators, or even working professionals to get involved.
