Animals are Amazing
| Author/Presenter: Sanne van der Ros | Target Grades: Primary (K-3) |
| Availability: All, Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter | Theme: Biodiversity and Wildlife |
| Cost: None | School District: School District 6 |
Description
Through hands-on activities and active games, students will explore their local environment in this half-day outdoor program. Using their turned-in senses, students will observe various local animals and their habits and will make their own interpretations about what they have seen. They will make connections between the animal world and the non-living world (water, air, soil) through games and discover how different animals need different things at different times of the year or different times in their life cycle. Students will become aware of the importance of animals in the natural world and in our own lives. All students will go home with something they created!
