Description

The Creston Valley Wildlife Management Area is celebrating the weird behaviours and body parts of birds and we invite you to join us! Both primary and intermediate programs are available. Grades K-3: Birds and Beaks Grades 4-7: Bones, Behaviours and Barf.

The programs will investigate form and function, classification, breeding and brooding behaviours and ecology of birds. These curriculum-based, hands-on programs are a great way to end a year of classroom science. The program takes place at the Wildlife Interpretation Centre located 11 kilometers west of Creston off Highway 3. Each program involves a presentation in the gallery, a guided nature walk and a dip netting activity with corresponding activities in the science lab.
