Biography
Monica has served as Wildsight’s Education Program Manager since 2007, overseeing the development and delivery of environmental education programs throughout the Columbia Basin. Wildsight’s ‘Education in the Wild’ programs offer school-based field trips giving kids a chance to connect with nature and develop environmental stewardship. Monica’s hope is that generations to come can still enjoy wild places, and that we can all learn to live with smaller footprints on the Earth.
Monica is an avid outdoors person, and brings a wealth of experience from instructing at Outward Bound , to ski and hiking guiding. She has her Avalanche Level 2 Technician certification from the Canadian Avalanche Association, and is an Avalanche Skills Training (AST) instructor.
