Biography
I have been working in environmental education since 1980, where I began working as a park naturalist for Alberta Parks (Kananaskis Country) and then on to B.C. Parks. I also completed a Bachelor of Science in Geography from the University of Calgary (1984). In 1990 I started my own company, Huckleberry Adventures, offering naturalist snowshoe programs to school children (K-7th grade), in the local school disticts. I also offer specialized programs to individual schools and special interest groups such as edible valley hikes, stream and pond ecology, 7 wonders of the Slocan Valley adventure hikes, and survival skills programs. I am also involved with Streamkeepers, offering benthic invertebrate river study programs to various school groups. I am always excited to offer new and fun, interactive, outdoor adventure programs to the local community.
