Biography
The Creston Valley Wildlife Management Area is a 17,000 acre wetland habitat that is managed for conservation and species diversity through active habitat and wildlife management, research and education. The Wildlife Interpretation Centre is located within the wetland and offers educational programming and events related to wetlands and wildlife. It is the ideal outdoor classroom with a huge range of biodiversity of plants, animals and habitat types. Programs include: Wetland Excursions for Grades K-7; Stewardship program for Gr 8-12 and community groups, Junior Naturalists Summer Science camps, guided canoe and walking tours, and special events. The Centre is open from May to October and offers educational exhibits, hands-on science lab, trained Naturalists to answer questions and offer tours and programs, nature theatre and gift shop. There are over 30 kilometres of trails to explore including two viewing towers and a boardwalk loop. Trails are open year round.
